ABOUT MICHAL KEREN-DAVID

Michal Keren-David, a former Israeli Diplomat for 16 years, was raised in Israel.

Michal joined the Israeli Army at 18 and served as a company commander in  the Field intelligence corps.

When starting her BA in International relations and English Literature, she simultaneously started working for the Israeli Foreign Ministry and has also completed Yale’s accelerated management program in the USA.

 

In 2014, Michal was appointed to serve as a Diplomat in the Israeli Consulate in New York. This was the family’s first relocation and interaction with American culture and life.

 

In 2018, as her appointment was complete, the family returned to Israel, later to be appointed again by the ministry to the USA, this time to Chicago, Illinois as the Israeli Consul for Consular Affairs and Administration.

 

In her position, Michal assisted Israeli families and surrogacy couples, worked with various non-profit organizations and helped families arriving for medical tourism in their transition into the US.

While doing so, Michal Identified gaps in services provided to internationals in the US and made it her mission to bridge those gaps.

 

Michal founded Keren-David Consulting LLC and assumed the position of CEO to assist families and individuals in navigating bureaucracy, reducing costs, and ensuring their family/personal needs are met.

 

Her vision is to assist the LGBTQ community and families while providing a one-stop shop for their US Journey.

 

 

ABOUT ALISON RUBIN TERKEL

Alison was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Kansas where she majored in Political Science with a concentration in International Affairs in 2010. She earned her masters degree in Jewish professional studies with a concentration in experiential education at The Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership in 2015. 
She worked in the non-profit field for 13 years in Chicago, including the Shriver Center on Poverty Law, Hillel, and The American Jewish Committee, an international diplomacy-focused NGO. Her work ranged from advocating for affordable housing and financial literacy to planning international diplomatic and interfaith missions for young professionals. 
Alison began working with Keren-David Consulting as a client coordinator in the summer of 2023. She has a passion for advocacy and a desire to build relationships with people worldwide!
